The process is very straightforward and user friendly. To get started, we will ask a few questions to understand your billing and collection procedures. We will also need a data file that will be used in pricing the portfolio. One of our marketing associates can usually handle the questions over the phone in less than 30 minutes.

The data file will contain certain fields which will enable us to understand the portfolio so that we can provide you with a fair price for the accounts. You will receive a list of those fields from one of our marketing associates. The source of this data file may either be you, or your collection agencies. If you do not update balances and other demographic data, then you will need to ask your agency to prepare this file. We will assist you in explaining the data file requirements to your agency, if you so choose.

Once we have this information, we should be able to provide you with an offer letter and price for both your warehoused and forward flow accounts within ten business days. If you elect to proceed, then we will need to have a placement file prepared which has all the information we will need to service these accounts. While you and/or your agencies are preparing that, we will prepare an Account Sale Agreement and forward that to you for review.

The final step in the process is arranging for read-only remote access to your billing system. Such access is the most efficient way for us to service your patients' requests for information regarding certain charges, past payments and insurance claims. Your agencies may already have this access so it should not be difficult to arrange for this. Our IT department would be happy to assist with establishing this access. Rest assured that the specialists who have this access are thoroughly trained in HIPAA compliance and will take every step to safeguard your patients' PHI.

Our goal is for this process to be as efficient as possible, particularly with regard to your employees' time. From the time you accept our offer, our objective is to close and fund within 14 days.
